GP Trainees

The Wells Medical Practice is an accredited training practice for doctors intending to become GPs. GP trainees, also known as GP registrars, are fully qualified doctors who have completed at least 2 years of hospital-based training after graduating from medical school. Trainees are assessed and monitored by their attached clinical supervisor at the practice.

You may be asked for permission to have your telephone or face to face consultation video recorded. This enables GP trainees to have their consulting skills assessed. Your consent will always be sought prior to any recording, and your care will not be affected should you choose not to be recorded.

Medical Students

Medical students, who are training to become doctors, undertake clinical placements at this practice. They learn by observing clinicians and seeing patients alongside a qualified GP. You may be asked to speak with a medical student about your condition during your consultation. If you do not want medical students involved with your care, please make staff aware at the first point of contact.
